Art Print - "Situational Awareness"

This a unique piece of LEGO themed Photographic Art that Netty created as a social commentary piece.

The inspiration for this piece is the Margaret Atwood quote "Men are afraid women will laugh at them. Women are afraid men will kill them".

The figure in the photo is armed to the teeth to simply navigate the streets at night alone... whilst being followed by a shadowy male figure. I think it highlights the fear and resilience of women and gender non-conforming people in everyday life. Also a comment that the media and emergency services puts the onus/ blame on women to keep themselves safe and be "situationally aware", rather than on men not assaulting women.

This is a custom made piece of art, all artwork including design and photography are my own.

This image is framed in a Black Ribba Frame.

Can be hung on the wall or be free-standing.
