Collage Art- Aboriginal Flag

This collage is based on the colours and design of the Australian Aboriginal flag. Each collage is one of a kind, individually made and uses different parts. Photo examples of previously created collages are pictured here. Your collage may not look exactly like the one in the photo, but will still have the same flag design and colour choices.

We created this collage to celebrate the Aboriginal people of Australia. We are passionate about recognising first-nations people, and advocating alongside them for their sovereignty and human rights.

As non-indigenous women, we are aware of the copyright contention with the use of the Aboriginal flag. We are thrilled that the Aboriginal flag is now freely available for people to use.

Our collage is based on the Australian Aboriginal Flag. The flag was designed by Harold Thomas, a Luritja man of Central Australia, in 1971.

We are passionate about the health of indigenous communities, especially mental health. We have decided to give back in the following way:

$5 from the sale of each Aboriginal flag collage is donated to Black Rainbow.

Each art piece is handmade by BrickNetty using a wide range of LEGO elements and building techniques.

The mini framed collage is framed in a black frame with a white mat. Frame is 12cm H x 12cm W x 4cm D.

The large framed collage is framed in a black shadowbox with a white mat. Frame is 27cm H x 27cm W x 6cm D.
